ICE  COOL

This is a phrase that could be used to describe many things.  A refreshing drink or dessert, calm and collected in the face of turmoil, or just a hip, heroic or drop dead gorgeous person!

Pure white or pearl shimmer on many textures has always been a feature in fashion, particularly bridal wear. There is smooth shine from satins and silks, but there are also intricate and delicate patterns and textures from lace.

I was struck by an image, not of a bridal gown, but two very glamorous evening dresses; where the white sequins swept from the bodice, over the hips and down the legs.

Glazes can also offer high gloss finish or a crackle.  I am working to see how I produce both successfully, to replicate for example the ice patterns on a winter window.

I also wanted to look at how I could incorporate the idea of high glossy sequins into voluptuous shapes that are all white.

It also provides a sharp contrast to the black designs, but like those, is also inspired by the high glamour of the fashion world.
